Meet Angel

My name is Angel Oxendine, and I am a Licensed Clinician passionate about helping individuals feel seen, heard, and supported through life’s challenges.
As an American Indian woman, I understand the importance of community, resilience, and healing. My passion for mental health is deeply personal. Growing up, I witnessed the impact untreated mental illness can have on individuals and families, especially when seeking help is avoided due to stigma or lack of support. Those experiences inspired me to create safe spaces where people feel comfortable being vulnerable and seeking healing.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from North Carolina Central University and have experience working in psychiatric hospital settings with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, severe mental illness, and emotional distress. Working in mental health settings has strengthened my empathy and reinforced the importance of compassionate, person-centered care.
My approach to therapy is rooted in authenticity, empowerment, and meeting clients where they are. Whether you are struggling with stress, relationships, self-esteem, boundaries, trauma, or life transitions, my goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where growth can take place.
In our work together, I strive to help clients:
-
Build healthy coping skills
-
Improve communication and relationships
-
Establish healthy boundaries
-
Increase confidence and self-awareness
-
Process difficult emotions and experiences
I believe therapy is not about “fixing” someone — it is about helping people reconnect with their strengths, heal, and move forward with confidence.
